What Is Z-Text?

Z-Text is a blockchain-powered messenger that fundamentally rethinks how private communication works. There are no central servers to seize or shut down. There is no phone number or email required to sign up. Your identity is your wallet seed — 24 words that only you control.

Every message you send is encrypted and written directly to the BitcoinZ blockchain, where it lives permanently. Lose your phone, switch devices, or come back years later — enter your 24 words and every conversation, contact, and transaction is restored exactly as you left it. No cloud backups, no account recovery forms, no third party involved.

Z-Text is not a concept or a whitepaper. It is a working application currently in testing mode for developers — and the results so far have been excellent. Public launch is planned for late spring 2026.

How It Works

The process is designed to be invisible to the user while being deeply secure under the hood:

You write a message in a familiar chat interface
AES-256-GCM encrypts the message locally on your device
The encrypted payload is routed through BitcoinZ network nodes as a shielded transaction
The recipient’s device decrypts and displays the message — typically in about 3 seconds

The interface is clean and familiar. The chat list organizes conversations with category filters. Conversations display delivered and read indicators. Payments can be attached directly within any chat. And full message recovery works seamlessly on a new device — just enter your 24 words and wait.

Integrated Payments

Z-Text includes a native payment system built directly into the conversation interface. Users can send BTCZ to any contact without leaving the chat — simply tap to open the payment panel, enter the amount, and attach it to your message. The recipient receives both the message and the funds in a single transaction.

This transforms Z-Text from a messenger into a complete communication and value transfer platform. Split a bill, pay a friend, tip a contact, or receive payment for services — all within the same encrypted conversation, with no intermediary taking a cut.
