About Z-TEXT

Z-TEXT is the official BitcoinZ wallet. It is stable, fast, and secure, and it pairs a self-custodial BTCZ wallet with a private messenger that runs on the BitcoinZ blockchain.

Your wallet comes from a 24-word seed that only you hold. There is no account to register, no phone number, and no email.

Wallet

  • Shielded payments: BTCZ is sent as BitcoinZ shielded transactions, with sender, recipient, and amount hidden by zk-SNARKs.
  • Self-custodial: your keys stay on your device, encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
  • Seed recovery: restore your wallet on any device with your 24-word seed.
  • Pay inside a chat: attach a BTCZ payment to a conversation.
  • No license needed: sending and receiving BTCZ is always available.

Messenger

  • Private by design: no phone number, no email, and no central message server.
  • Two layers of encryption: AES-256-GCM on your device, then a BitcoinZ shielded transaction.
  • Fast delivery: messages typically arrive in 1 to 5 seconds.
  • Restores from your seed: your conversations and contacts come back on any device.

Sending messages requires a Z-TEXT license. Receiving messages and all wallet functions do not. See Z-TEXT packages.

Download Safely

Z-TEXT is available for Android, Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Only download Z-TEXT from z-text.com/downloads. A wallet holds your keys, so a copy from another website or a third-party APK mirror can be altered to steal funds.

Each build on the download page shows its version and a SHA-256 checksum. After downloading, check that the checksum of your file matches the one shown there.

Replaces BitcoinZ Blue

BitcoinZ Blue is no longer supported. Z-TEXT is now the official BitcoinZ wallet.
